Call for applications: LE BAL/ADAGP: DE LA JEUNE CRÉATION

LE BAL, l’ADAGP and the French Ministry of Culture support young artists by the emergence of artistic work. The first four winners were: Clément Cogitore (1st edition), Yasmina Benabderrahmane (2nd edition), Eric Minh Cuong Castaing (3rd edition) and Marine Peixoto (4th edition).
The prize, awarded every two years, is open to photographers and/or video artists under the age of 40 who are French or of French nationality living abroad, or working/residing in France for at least in France for at least 5 years. Its aim is to support the winner for two years in the realisation of a creative project already underway. Preference will be given to projects that fall within the broad spectrum of the image-
document, articulating political/social and aesthetic issues.

An endowment of EUR 20,000 (incl. VAT) will enable the artist to bring their project to fruition. At the end of the two years, their work will be exhibited at the BAL and published.

The winner will also benefit from a "Atelier A" portrait filmed and broadcast on the Arte website as well as a dedicated presentation on the walls of the ADAGP.
