EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER AWARD

Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie, DGPh, schreibt erstmals in diesem Jahr den
neuen EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER AWARD als Förderpreis ihrer Sektion Kunst, Markt &
Recht mit Unterstützung des Fotolabors WhiteWall aus. Die Preisverleihung findet zur Paris Photo im November 2024 in der Leica Galerie Paris statt.

Ziel des EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER AWARDs ist die Förderung aufstrebender Fotokünstler*innen.

Der Preis ist mit einem von WhiteWall gesponserten Preisgeld in Höhe von 3.000 Euro dotiert. Bis zu drei weitere Teilnehmer*innen können von der Jury mit einer ehrenvollen Erwähnung ausgezeichnet werden (nicht dotiert).

This year, for the first time, the Art, Market & Law Section of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Photographie is offering the "EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER AWARD" to promote up-and-coming photographic artists. Beginning in November 2024, this biannual award will be announced and presented at Paris Photo.

The aim of the EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER AWARD is to support photographers as they enter the photographic art market.

Sponsored by Whitewall, the award is endowed with prize money of 3,000 euros. In addition to the grant prize winner, up to three other participants may be awarded an honorable mention recognition by the jury (not endowed).

Nominations are open to photo artists who - regardless of their age - have been present on the photo art market for no longer than three years and deserve attention.
